The low pressure turbine blades and rotor of Hamaoka nuclear unit 5 were damaged unexpe ctedly due to random vibration and steam-flashback vibration in June 2006. The permanen t reliability of the new blades were confirmed, base on the knowledge gained from the ac cident and our verification test.
