Abstract A remote support system using gazing point and augmented reality is developed. This is a remote communication system of cooperative maintenance work between the supervisor in a re mote support center and the maintenance worker at a certain machine in the plant site to conduct a complicated task. A new device has been constructed to make a practical application. The device consists of a monocular HMD(Head Mounted Display) that displays the information from the supervisor to one eye of the worker, an eye camera with IR-LED that takes images of the oth er eye and a view camera that takes images of front of the worker. The system has been improved to be downsized and unwired using the new device, the wireless LAN and a video transmitter.
