概要
This paper presents the ultrasonic response for closed crack under thermal loading. A part of stainless steel plate with a tightly closed crack is cooled for three minutes, and the therm al stress for reducing the crack closure stress is generated in the plate specimen. The back -scattering wave from the crack surface is monitored for several hours after cooling started.
