概要

In ultrasonic testing for austenitic welds, it is generally said that the flaw detection in the weld is difficult because of spurious echoes by dispersion of the ultrasonic wave. Therefore, the ultrasonic examination personnel are required to have high level abilities to classify these echoes. It is important to train to maintain and improve the abilities. For the effective training, many samples are need with a variety of flaw characteristics and size. However, it is difficult to prepare such samples on the cost, the flaw as planned, and so on. We are developing the UT training tool using the UT simulation data. In this study, defect model is investigated to reproduce the practical echoes from a variety of flaws using the simulation. It is possible to reproduce the echoes by stress corrosion crack and fatigue crack by optimization of the defect model
