概要

In the site of O-arai research and development center of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), there are five facilities for post irradiation examination to develop fast reactor fuel and core structure material. The facilities which were constructed during the period of 1960s and 1970s, have been accumulating operating experience of the facilities more than 30 years. The safety review based on the experience has started at 2003 to confirm safety operation of the facilities. Then the safety operation has carried out by the review activities.On the other hand, the facilities are becoming more important to operat e for the various needs of nuclear fuel development. And there is a difficulty of technology transfer to next workers of safety operation because of issue of human resources. Under the circumstance, the aged facilities should be kept under safety condition by adequate management of facility operation includ ing workers education and maintenance of the equipment related with safety system.In this report, the improvements of the management system for safety operation of the aged facilities are discussed in the .view points of the organization, operation guideline, evaluation of equipment aging and budget issue.
