概要

In the site of O-arai research and development center of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), there are five facilities for post irradiation examination to develop fast reactor fuel and core structure material. The facilities were const ructed during the period of 1960s and 1970s have been accumulating operating experience of the facilities more than 30 years. The safety review based on the experience has started at 2003 to confirm safety operation of the facilities. In the review activity, we have prevented from defecting of equipment related safety operation by repla cing the parts or whole of the equipment with effective risk reduction and reasonable maintenance cost. The review method is possible to determine the priority of the equipment maintenance by using safety imp act evaluations of each equipment and performance indicators which show the degradation of the equipment.
