概要
“Sociology of Maintenance” is a very unique field of activity in the JSM compared to the other academic organizations. Since the JSM is dealing with maintenance activities of p eople on large scale infra-systems, it is necessary to study and to systematically clarify the interface/interaction between the maintenance activities and related society. In this session, the recent discussions in the Sociology of Maintenance Workshop in JSM on the nature of special atmosphere surrounding nuclear power maintenance and influence of mass media on the atmosphere are discussed by showing actual examples of the course of accident/affair.
