概要

Development of pipe inspection equipment with guided waves is described in this study. Authors have developed a defect imaging technique, in which reflected guided waves from such reflective objects as defects and weld lines are detected with many sensors lining up in the circumferential direction and the waveforms are processed with mode extractio n technique and wave reconstruction. Pipe inspection equipment developing in this study has a function of the defect imaging as well as modal analysis of guided waves. Magnetos trictive sensors with small coil elements detect local vibration on a pipe surface with the high accuracy, and the analyzing software shows a defect image with the high speed.
