The plant maintenance method mainly used in the domestic nuclear power plant is TBM (Time Based Maintenance), while RCM (Reliability c entered maintenance) with risk assessment methods have been successfully used in U.S. In this paper, we discuss our research on the app licability of the U.S. technique to the Feed-water system at Hamaoka Unit-3, which was performed in 2004FY. Since these methods were t hought to be applicable also to Hamaoka, we will work on the solution of the extracted problems for the future full-scale introduction.
