Steam oxidation scale is generated on the inner surface of the pipe through which the high temperature steam flows. The thickness of this scale increases as the lapse of running time, and causes various adverse effects. For this reason, it is necessary to manage the thickness of this scale. Therefore, we investigated a method of measuring the thickness of steam oxidation scale on the inner surface of pipe by ultrasonic testing.
