概要
Power uprate is nuclear reactor operation to increase thermal power from nuclear reactor to get higher electrical output. In the case of EPU ( extended power uprate), significant modifications of major equipments are required. Therefore, long-term plant maintenance strategy based on c onsideration of plant life cycle management is indispensable. We think at least the following viewpoints should be considered in the long-term strategy, such as fuel type, operating cycle, equipment replacement for aging and performance degradation and turbine efficiency improvement.
