概要

Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation develops improved ABWR which can be implemented in early 2030s. Our development course is that the improved ABWR has both of world highest level safety feature and economic competitiveness against other power generation systems. In safety feature, the improved ABWR introduces passive safety systems for elimination of common caused failure and enhancement of safety reliability, air-cooled ultimate heat sink for reduction of tsunami risk and reinforcement of the Reactor Building against commercial air plane crash. In economic competitiveness, the improved ABWR introduces 10% power uprate needing no major equipment change, enhancement of capacity factor and flattening of outage load of utility.
