概要

In Hamaoka nuclear power station, Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), which uses vibration diagnosis technology, has been introduced for some rotational devices such as horizontal type pumps or fans. Until now, a lot of instances, which include predicting a failure of bearing by detecting an upwarc tendency of vibration, and reducing an oscillation by adding adequate oil following a detection of insufficient bearing lubricant, show that CBM has an adequate predictive function as preventive maintenance method. However, some equipments need particular control on set values in consideration of the characteristic of each apparatus. And hereafter, it is necessary to solve some technical problems including improving proper judgment for starting maintenance, for expanding the capability of CBM application. Moreover, it should be promoted positively to adopt not only vibration diagnostic technology but also lubricant analysis, thermography technology, etc., for the purpose of establishing an appropriate CBM technology.
