概要

We have developed a method using mobile devices to recognize the current location in a plant where radio/marker such as GPS is not available. Depending on the site situation the device can provide appropriate information, e.g. operating instructions, to workers. In order to recognize the current location, we identify surrounding plant equipment and register its location as the current one. The mobile device with 3-D depth acquisition can extract a plurality of pipes, collate its feature amount with the DB, identify the plant equipment and estimate the current location. In this presentation, we report the method and verification results.
