関西電力グループ「ゼロカーボンビジョン2050」について
概要
The Kansai Electric Power Group declared “Zero Carbon Vision 2050” on February 26, 2021 to achieve a zero-carbon society in 2050 and would be committed to implementing the following three approaches. (i) We will provide our society with the best available solution toward zero-carbon emissions on the demand side along with supporting its implementation across all sectors. (ii) With priority given to safety, our group will seek to achieve the best energy mix which can lead to full decarbonization ensure secure stable supply with an increasing energy self-sufficiency ratio, and enhance economic efficiency. Especially, to achieve zero-carbon emissions on the supply side, we aim to maximize nuclear power by working on the following; (1) Advanced operational protocols introduced to improve the operation rate, with priority given to safety and (2) Installation, expansion or replacement of facilities. (iii) To create a hydrogen-based society, we will consider hydrogen production using electricity and heat source of nuclear power in the future.
