立地自治体の視点からの継続的安全性向上
概要
After the Fukushima Daiichi accident, it became difficult to gain the understanding of the public only by the response of plant operators, regulators, and the national government, and the local government forced to join decision-making process such as restarting of Nuclear Power Plants in Japan. In order to rebuild the trust of the public, it is most important to accumulate good operating experience, and continue to make bilateral efforts to enhance safety through incorporating the states of arts knowledge. Fukui Prefectural Government has own technical experts and also set up a nuclear safety expert committee to independently discuss the safety of nuclear power plants. The committee compiled a report to encourage the plant operator and regulator to improve their safety culture and regulatory framework. Through such activities, it is important for the three parties to discuss nuclear safety to gain public understanding of nuclear safety.
